Whats New

Below is listed a history of updates/ changes and news about the Plymouth Informed web site.

Got your postcode! (2008 Edition)25 September 2008
The updated Indices of Postcodes within neighbourhoods are now available, and this year we’ve included the new city ‘locality’ geographic area reference. The Indices of Postcodes within Neighbourhoods is a lookup table derived from postcode data supplied in March 2008. As postcode geographic areas do not fit exactly within neighbourhood boundaries, the fit of postcodes into neighbourhoods is an approximation based on best fit. The table is in the form of an Excel spreadsheet; this and other city-wide documents can be accessed by clicking on Reports button at the left of the screen and navigating to ‘City’.

Index of Multiple Deprivation 200712 March 2008
The Index of Multiple Deprivation 2007 from Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) combines a number of indicators, chosen to cover a range of economic, social and housing issues, into a single deprivation score and rank for each small area in England. There are two new documents, produced by the Corporate Performance Unit, Plymouth City Council that contain maps and a table of these Indicators at Lower Super Output Area geographic level for the city of Plymouth unitary authority area. To view the maps, table and other city-wide documents, click on Reports button at the left of the screen and navigate to ‘City’.

Child Road Safety Audit 200511 September 2006
New on Plymouth Informed statistics ‘ Transport’ theme is the Child Road Safety Audit 2005 produced by the Road Safety Team at Plymouth City Council. The annual Audit records the numbers of child casualties that occur on the highway, based upon data supplied by the Devon & Cornwall Constabulary regarding children killed, seriously injured or slightly injured. The age group considered for the purposes of the audit is 0 – 16 years of age for a whole year. The audit is an important tool as it provides a baseline from which interventions can be assessed. Creative Plymouth Arts Map now online.11 September 2006
Plymouth is growing and increasing in creative skills and creative opportunities in the city. Creativity is believed to be a key factor in Plymouth's growth and success. That's what the Creative Plymouth initiative is all about and the Plymouth Arts Map, produced by Plymouth City Council's Arts Unit was the first step to promote it. The guide has proved extremely helpful and has reached people who would not normally seek to be involved in or know about the Arts on offer in Plymouth. Now the Arts Map can be accessed on Plymouth Informed, so people can access the most relevant and up to date information on Arts organisations, venues and facilities in Plymouth and see where they are located. This guide only includes public and voluntary sector bodies and does not include commercial companies working in the creative sector. If you have any enquiries, corrections or suggestions, please contact the Arts Development Unit on 01752 307029 or email arts@plymouth.gov.uk.
